Sandwiches are the  way you stack the different plates on your die-cutting machine in order to cut or emboss. Here we are going to see some of the sandwiches that worked for me.

Embossing Sandwiches recipes:

With Cuttlebug Embossing Folders:

1. Multipurpose Platform Tab 1
2. Standard Cutting Pad
3. Cuttlebug Embossing Folder with cardstock inside
4. Standard Cutting Pad

With Brass Stencils:

1. Mutipurpose Platform Tab 1

3. Metal Stencil (backside)
4. Cardstock
5. Silicone Rubber mat
6. Impressions Pad

With Fiskars Plastic Texture Plates :

1. Multi-Purpose Platform Tab 2
2. Fiskars Embossing Template
3. Cardstock
4. Silicone Rubber mat
5. Standard Cutting Pad (not the Impression Pad)

Also, you can try the instructions of Tab 1. Experiment with different combinations since papers and cardstocks are different in thickness and even humidity affect the results.
